Larry Matson

Larry Matson has been an independent financial advisor for 35 years and is a retired Air Force veteran. He is a past chapter president and current member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation and the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designation. He educates both clients and potential clients about how properly managing their financial resources and businesses can help them achieve financial control and financial freedom.
Larry specializes in helping his clients understand that they have grown up with harmful myths about how money works and how those myths degrade their personal finances and their retirement plans. He enjoys building long-term relationships and only recommends something to a client that he would do himself. Larry has a passion for helping others achieve their financial dreams and objectives. He always does what is right for the client first.

Keith Cordon, Encore Benefits, Individual and Group Health
Keith has more than 25 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. He opened Encore Benefits in 2010 and is has been a Certified Financial Planner and Licensed Insurance Consultant since 1990. He specializes in individual, small employer and large employer benefits.
Keith served as the president of the Northern Utah Association of Health Underwriters (NUAHU) for 3 years. As a business owner himself, Keith understands the need for quality employee benefits package that provide great value.

Kurt Brown, Chief Investment Officer, Investment Strategy at Townsquare Capital, LLC
Kurt has 25 years of experience. Prior to joining Townsquare Capital, LLC, Kurt was a principal at Alta Capital, a high-quality growth equity manager based in Salt Lake City. During his 12 years with Alta, Kurt helped grow the firm’s assets under management from $300 million to over $3 billion.
In addition to his investment work, Kurt is a frequently speaker at investment conferences, universities, and CPA and Estate Planning events. He speak about capital markets inefficiencies and conflicts of interest associated with investment products and brokerage firms. Kurt studied Finance and Economics at Brigham Young University where he currently serves as an adjunct professor and board member of The Ballard Center for Economic Self Reliance.

Jeff Matson: Attorney, Legal, Estate and Business Planning; Bennett Tueller Johnson and Deere
Jeff graduated magna cum laude from BYU’s J. Rueben Clark Law School in 2009. He practices estate and tax planning sections at Bennett Tueller Johnson and Deere. Jeff assists clients with various tax and estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, probate proceedings, tax controversies, and tax exempt organizations.
He also practices in the firm’s business section where he provides counsel to individuals and businesses in a wide variety of business law matters and assists companies with formation, structure, asset protection, trademark registration and contract drafting.
